Title: Business Support Manager
At Teleopti since: First time between 2001-2011. Started again in August 2015
How did you start working at Teleopti?
It was 2001 when I started working at Teleopti. I was working with support. After a while I started studying System Development and was on leave for a while. I returned after my studies and started working as a developer at R&D (Research and Development). I even worked as technical consultant for a year. Then I quit and started working as a consultant with .Net and SharePoint development. Last year I returned to Teleopti this time as Business Support manager. The role basically is about coordinating and keeping track of different systems when implementing changes. It is more of a project management role and very different from a developer role. I have to predict how changes will affect different systems or other people’s work and also predict when is the best time to execute these changes. It is challenging but at the same time it is quite enjoyable. It feels likesolving a puzzle or Sudoku.
Best thing about working at Teleopti.
The possibility of experimenting new things and get the chance to test different tasks. In my experience Teleopti is not worried about giving people new tasks or roles. This has been a key factor for me to stay here for such a long time. I feel I am challenged and at the same time I grow as an individual in different roles I’ve had at Teleopti.
When are you the happiest?
Simple things make me happy. Maybe when I go for a nice walk with my partner and my dog.
What do you do when you are not at work?
I do lots of bowling. I play with a new method that you use both hands to throw the ball. I’m told that I am the only female player in Sweden that uses this technique. What else? Sometimes I enjoy to sit down and look at train routes on my spare time. I love to travel by train.
Name three hobbies of yours.
I do bowling 3-4 times a week. I also like hiking and fjällvandring (mountain tours). Traveling by train as I mentioned is something I do when on vacation.
Name three things still left on your bucket list.
Travel by Trans-Siberian railway. I even want to go on a trip with Orient-express. The third thing on my list would be a laong walk on the Pacific Crest Trail
If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
Get all systems to work fine together at work. No, I know that is not a superpower. 🙂 I would go with “Time traveling”.
