Title: Technical Lead, based in Strängnäs
At Teleopti since: August 2007
How did you start working at Teleopti?
I moved from Stockholm to Strängnäs, and began commuting to work. But by chance I found an ad for a company looking for developers.
Without mentioning the possibility to work in Strängnäs, I noticed they had an office in town at least.
And with my previous experience of working with payroll, time reporting and ERP systems I felt that it was a good fit for my career.
What’s the best thing about working at Teleopti?
I like the long term thinking within the company. We rarely make a quick thing for short term benefits. As an employee I also like the freedom, both regarding working hours, and what I can do to make the company a bigger success.
What do you like about Teleopti’s Strängnäs office?
The proximity to my home, as I live in Strängnäs things get really easy when you have the kids in preschool just around the block.
But the nice thing with Teleopti is that we never have far to go to our HQ in Stockholm to feel the pulse and talk to colleagues in other departments.
When are you the happiest?
During winter, primarily when skiing somewhere in the sunny slopes.
What do you do when you are not at work?
I try to have quite a lot of days skiing. But most of the time is spent with family logistics and house work.
Name three things still left on your bucket list.
I don’t really have a bucket list. But I would like to own a cabin somewhere in the Swedish mountains and adding solar cells to our house. Travelling wise, it would be really fun to bike between some Champagne vineyards.
Something me and my wife have talked about doing when the kids are old enough to refuse to go on family vacations.
What gadget do you wish existed?
I’ve been looking forward to the release of Effie (https://helloeffie.com). But it seems to take time to get it to work… Ironing clothes is not my favourite task, and it would be really nice to automate that part.
