History and financials
Nils and Marita Bildt founded Teleopti in Stockholm back in 1992, and still today they remain active on our Board of Directors. We have consistently grown organically while turning a net profit, and we continue to do so today at an ever-increasing pace.
Our innovative (yet cautious) self-funding strategy continues to advance our business and our solutions. This successful approach has created a solid company with sustainable and self-generated growth and continual year-over-year profitability.
In January 1998 there were nine of us, and a year later there were 25. Today Teleopti has more than 180 employees. Therefore, we can continuously invest in future development to meet our customers’ needs. Today we are a Swedish company with offices and customers around the world and an extensive network of partners.
A team without limits
You only have to look at our map to realize we’re an international company. Visit one of our offices and you’ll quickly see that we’re not only international geographically, we also see no boundaries when it comes to diversity at our offices. Diversity enriches our organization and our customer relations. And if you stay a while, you’ll discover that this is what makes us truly strong.
At Teleopti, we move freely across departmental boundaries. Functions like IT and marketing obviously have completely different skill sets and their own milestones. But equally obvious is that we all have an important role to play in keeping the customer satisfied. That’s why we work with each other – as a team – across boundaries.
At Teleopti, two minds are always better than one. Collaboration is not linear, it’s exponential. And we want to make each other better through collaboration. This drives us to develop our methods in systems development, for example. Thanks to our respect for collaboration, today we are well advanced in Kanban. Pair programming is part of our everyday lives, and we’re no strangers to methods like mob programming either. You don’t need to be a developer to understand that when you want something badly enough, you look for solutions with other people, ask questions to make progress with a problem and exert yourself to make those around you better.
Teleoptimists – the people who work here – prefer to say yes rather than no. For us this means that we always see opportunities, and that all ideas are good ideas. Some ideas are good straight away, while other ideas provoke thought and discussion but may need a little more consideration. Still others spawn more, better ideas. It’s not so much about always saying yes, but more an attitude that anything is possible if you want it badly enough, and a faith that everyone who works here wants what’s best for us as a team.
We work with one of the world’s unsolved mathematical problems – scheduling. You may never have given scheduling much thought but we can promise that you’ll soon be fascinated by the complexity of it. We certainly are. And who knows? Perhaps the person who cracks the code is a future Nobel Prize candidate. Don’t believe us? Come and meet us and we’ll be happy to explain.
Thanks to Teleopti, Telenor Denmark – the second largest mobile operator in Denmark – has 0.7 more hours to spend with its customers every day in every store. Waiting times have fallen by 33 percent while customer satisfaction has increased by 7 percent. Total sales per store have increased by 6 percent. This partnership has also given Telenors employees an easier, simpler, and more manageable working day.

Our customers and employees are our number 1 priority. It is clear to everyone who works here, from day one. All our colleagues are given an immediate introduction to the business concept that has brought us to where we are today. We then meet up every month to look at how things are going, how everyone is contributing and how we can improve. We want to be a world leader in workforce management for contact centers – and to do this, needless to say everyone must be pulling in the same direction.
